Announcement

Webster, Texas – Dennis Paul officially announced his candidacy for the State Representative District 129 seat which has become vacant following the retirement of State Representative John Davis.

Dennis has lived in District 129 for 26 years and has owned a small business in District 129 for 12 years.

Dennis has been married to his wonderful wife Eliza for 26 years and they are the proud parents of an 18 year old daughter who just graduated from St. Agnes Academy in Houston. Dennis, himself, is a graduate of the University of Houston and has been an Engineer for 27 years. His family attends St. Bernadette Catholic Church.

As a conservative, Dennis desires less government and more freedom. He actively works as a Republican grassroots volunteer serving as a local precinct chair for 15 years and as a member of the State Republican Executive Committee for 7 years. He has served as a delegate to numerous Precinct, Senatorial, State and National conventions. Given his commitment, it’s no surprise that half of the HD 129 Pct. Chairs are already supporting Dennis. Whether serving as a student leading College Republicans, assisting in campaigns, or engaging in local Republican clubs, Dennis has led the way.

Dennis is also an active member and leader among a variety of community organizations including: Knights of Columbus, Space Center Rotary Club, Downtown Pachyderm Club, Clear Lake Area Republicans and multiple professional engineering organizations.

Dennis is a worker ready to get the job done. As an engineer, Dennis volunteers in disaster areas to insure stable structures. He worked to pass a Good Samaritan law in the Texas Legislature to protect volunteers from frivolous lawsuits. One project Dennis worked on was developing a plan to clean up Armond Bayou before the EPA forced a Washington solution on a local problem.

Dennis is committed to serving his community and leading by example with the conservative principles he cherishes. He will fight to defend the constitution, to stem the tide of illegal immigration, reduce our property tax burden, support education and for less government regulation. We need a worker and a leader like Dennis Paul as our State Representative for District 129 because he demonstrates our shared conservative values and has the character and experience to be a trusted leader.
